But Karl has an obsession that he can’t shake, that uses up all their resources and takes him away from his family day after day, night after night.

And his addiction simply won’t leave him alone – it gets him up at 4am, he secretly gazes at pictures on his phone at work and in the back garden of their modest suburban home, he is building a palace to house the objects of his desire.
